Introduction

Pi AI Content Strategist ("the App") is operated by Pi Fabricators, LLC ("we", "us", "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our Shopify app.

Information We Collect

Shop Information

When you install the App, we collect:

  • Your Shopify shop domain (e.g., your-store.myshopify.com)
  • OAuth session tokens (for authenticating API requests)
  • Your selected subscription plan and billing status

Content You Create

When you use the App, we store:

  • Blog post drafts and generation history
  • Topics, keywords, and content clusters you create
  • Author profiles you configure
  • Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) settings
  • Custom writing instructions and tone preferences
  • Reference documents you upload for AI context
  • Product data imported from your Shopify store (for content relevance)

What We Do NOT Collect

  • We do not collect personal data about your customers. The App operates on shop-level data only.
  • We do not access your customers' browsing history, purchase history, or personal information.
  • We do not collect payment card information (billing is handled entirely by Shopify).

How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information solely to:

  • Generate AI-powered blog content for your store
  • Manage your subscription and enforce usage limits
  • Improve the quality and relevance of generated content
  • Provide keyword research and SEO analysis features

Third-Party Sub-Processors

The App relies on the following third-party services. Each is a sub-processor of your data, used for the specific purpose noted.

Note on Google's April 2026 rebrand: Google Cloud's Vertex AI product was renamed to Gemini Enterprise Agent Platform at Google Cloud Next 2026. We use the same underlying service; only the product name changed.

When generating content, we send your topic information, keywords, and writing instructions to the AI sub-processors above. We do NOT send customer data or personally identifiable information about your shoppers to any third party. The App operates on shop-level content data only.

Data Storage

  • App data is stored in a PostgreSQL database hosted on Supabase (see Sub-Processors table above)
  • Data is associated with your shop domain
  • We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest

Data Retention

  • Your data is retained for as long as the App is installed on your store
  • When you uninstall the App, all your data is automatically deleted within 48 hours
  • Published blog posts on your Shopify store are NOT affected by uninstallation ΓÇö they remain on your store as they are Shopify's data, not ours

Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your data through the App interface at any time
  • Export your data using the App's data export feature
  • Delete your data by uninstalling the App (automatic deletion within 48 hours)
  • Request information about what data we hold by contacting us

Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) for all data transmission
  • Secure authentication via Shopify OAuth
  • Row-level security on database tables
  • Environment-based access controls for API keys

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document.

Shopify Data Protection

This App complies with Shopify's data protection requirements including:

  • Mandatory GDPR webhook handling (Customer Data Request, Customer Data Erasure, Shop Data Erasure)
  • Shopify Billing API for all charges
  • Minimal scope permissions (only requesting access we need)
