Five-Year Limited Warranty

Pi Fabricators, LLC, Salem, Oregon, warrants the Biochar-Making Fire Pit to the original purchaser against defects in materials and workmanship for five years from the date of delivery.

What is covered

A weld that fails, a seam that cracks, or a wall that rusts through, during normal use as described in our instructions.

What is not covered

• Surface rust, patina and discoloration. The fire pit is bare steel and is meant to weather; rust is the finish, not a defect. Rust that goes through the wall is covered.
• Damage from dropping the fire pit, running it over, or otherwise denting or bending it.
• Shipping damage reported more than 30 days after delivery. Report shipping damage within 30 days of delivery, with photos of the fire pit and the packaging, and we replace the fire pit.
• Normal wear, and any pit that has been modified.

What we will do

Repair or replace the fire pit, at our choice, at no charge. Usually a photo is enough and nothing needs to ship. If we need the fire pit back before a repair or replacement, we send a prepaid label, and the repaired or replacement pit ships free by ground in the continental United States. Outside the continental United States, you pay shipping to us and we pay the return. If we cannot repair or replace it, we refund the purchase price.

How to make a claim

Email contact@pifabricators.com with your order number and a photo of the problem, or write to Pi Fabricators, LLC, 2830 19th St SE, Salem, OR 97302. No registration is needed; your order is your proof of purchase. We reply within two business days with what happens next: a repair, a replacement, or a prepaid label to send the fire pit back.

Your rights

Any implied warranties, including the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, last only as long as the five-year term of this written warranty. To the extent the law allows, Pi Fabricators is not liable for incidental or consequential damages arising from a defect covered by this warranty. Some states do not allow limits on how long an implied warranty lasts or the exclusion of incidental or consequential damages, so the limitations above may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.

This warranty applies to every Biochar-Making Fire Pit we have sold, the 24-inch and the Large, from the first one on. Returns within 30 days of delivery are handled separately under our 30-day returns policy.
