Shipping policy
Where we ship. We ship from our shop in Salem, Oregon to every US state. We ship within the United States only; we do not ship to Canada or any other country.
Free shipping. Product orders of $100 or more ship free by ground within the continental United States. Orders under $100 ship for a flat $15.
Alaska and Hawaii. A $200 flat rate applies to the Biochar-Making Fire Pit, the Griddle and the Slotted Grill. Other products ship at the same rates as the rest of the United States.
When your order ships. In-stock products ship within 1 to 3 business days. You get a tracking number by email when the label is printed. Ground transit from Oregon is typically 1 to 2 days on the West Coast and 4 to 6 days to the East Coast. We ship FedEx Ground.
Built-to-order items. The Large Biochar-Making Fire Pit is built to order. The build starts when your payment clears and takes about five weeks, then about a week in transit. It ships by freight on one pallet (48 by 48 inches, about 250 lb, strapped open; the pallet is included in the price). At checkout you choose one of two flat freight rates for your state: pickup at your nearest freight terminal, which is the least expensive, or liftgate delivery to your home, where the driver lowers the pallet to the ground at the end of your driveway. The rates by region are on the product page. Enter a daytime phone number at checkout: the carrier calls you to arrange it. If no carrier offers terminal pickup at your ZIP code we book it to the nearest terminal that does and tell you where before it ships. Island, ferry and other addresses a 53 ft trailer cannot reach are quoted before the build starts. Alaska and Hawaii: email us for a quote before you order.
Local pickup. Orders can be picked up at our shop at 2830 19th St SE, Salem, Oregon at no charge. Choose "Pick up" at checkout; we email you when the order is ready, then call or text 360-513-2837 to set a time. Open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, 7:00 am to 4:00 pm; Wednesday hours vary, so call first.
Custom fabrication and machining. Quoted work ships as agreed in the quote. Shipping is included in the quote or billed at cost, as stated there.
Damaged in transit. Inspect the package on arrival. If anything is damaged, email contact@pifabricators.com within 30 days of delivery with photos of the item and the packaging and we will replace or repair it at no charge. Freight shipments (the larger kiln): note any damage on the delivery receipt before signing, and report concealed damage within 5 business days of delivery, which is the freight carriers' claim window.
Returns. Products can be returned within 30 days of delivery; see the Refund policy for the conditions. Custom fabrication is not returnable.
